Meet Mia

Our Story

Meet the Muse

MIA COOSH began with Mia – our red toy poodle and the spark behind everything we create. We searched for a harness that looked beautiful and felt truly comfortable for everyday walks. After trying countless brands, none met all our requirements for fit, safety, and design. So we asked a simple question: what if we made one ourselves?

The Challenge

We set out to reimagine what a harness could be – a tailored fit without gaping, rubbing, or extra weight. Over more than a year, we refined every line and placement millimetre by millimetre for a precise, secure fit. The result is a silhouette of effortless comfort and fluid movement, crafted with timeless elegance.

We tested prototypes on a variety of small and medium-sized dogs to confirm a secure, comfortable fit across sizes. Every detail was considered: smooth, rounded edges that protect the coat; reinforced stitching for everyday durability; and hardware engineered to be strong yet lightweight – so every step feels effortless.

Every detail was chosen with intention. We wanted the elegance and resilience of leather without compromising our values. Crafted from premium microfibre leather, our pieces offer the same luxurious hand-feel while remaining entirely cruelty-free, durable, and easy to maintain.

From Atelier to You

Mia became our muse and our tester. She wore every prototype on long walks through leafy parks, sandy beaches, and city pavements, in rain, shine, and everything in between. Each outing taught us what to refine until, at last, we created a piece we were proud to have her wear every day. Only then did we share it with the world, so other dogs and the humans who adore them could experience a harness where thoughtful design, kind materials, and true comfort meet.

Our Impact

We believe every dog deserves safety, comfort and love. That’s why a portion of every order supports registered animal rescue organisations across Australia. Together we fund care, rehabilitation and rehoming, one walk at a time.
